2013 Industry Outlook: Featured Content

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2013 Industry Outlook: What Real Estate Professionals Need To Know. Your presence helped make the second installment in the Carson Dunlop Speaker Series a huge success. Several hundred real estate professionals from around the Greater Toronto Area gathered at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga for informative presentations on Insurance Claims Data, Mold, Home Inspection Trends and the 2013 Housing Market.

2013 Industry Outlook: Venue Details and Directions

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2013 Industry Outlook: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know this Thursday, March 7th at 1:30pm. The event is being held at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. For those unfamiliar with this theatre, we’ve outlined some details about the venue below.

Address: The Living Arts Centre in Mississauga is located at 4141 Living Arts Drive.

If you’re travelling from Toronto on Thursday:

  • Take the QEW West to Highway 10 (Hurontario Street) and head North on Hurontario Street to Burnhamthorpe Road. Go West on Burnhamthorpe Road to Living Arts Drive.

OR

  • Take Highway 401 West to Highway 10 (Hurontario Street). Travel South on Hurontario Street to Burnhamthorpe Road. Go West on Burnhamthorpe Road to Living Arts Drive.

If you’re travelling from Hamilton on Thursday:

  • Take the QEW East to Highway 10 (Hurontario Street). Travel North on Hurontario Street to Burnhamthorpe Road. Go West on Burnhamthorpe Road to Living Arts Drive.

OR

  • Take the QEW East to Highway 403 (by Ford Drive). Travel East on Highway 403 to the Centre View/Mavis exit. Take Centre View Drive to Duke of York Boulevard. Go South on Duke of York Boulevard to Rathburn Road. Travel West on Rathburn road to Living Arts Drive. Go South on Living Arts Drive.

Parking: The Living Arts Centre has underground parking for 450 cars with access off Living Arts Drive. The parking facility is equipped with pay and display machines that offer multiple payment options including coin and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express). Once payment is made, the machine provides a receipt (ticket) to be displayed on the dash of the car.

The rates are:

  • Hourly: $1.00
  • Daily: $6.00
  • Free parking with a valid Accessible Parking Permit

Paid on-street parking is also available on Living Arts Drive & Prince of Wales Drive in designated spots.

Carson Dunlop is pleased to announce the 2013 Industry Outlook: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know, an exclusive event designed for real estate professionals in the Greater Toronto Area. Join us on March 7th from 1:30pm until 4:30pm at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga where our panel of experts will be discussing several areas related to the forecast for the 2013 housing market.

Hosted by Graham Clarke, the Vice President of Engineering at Carson Dunlop, this free event promises to be very informative. As March 7th approaches, we will be showcasing our prestigious speakers, like we have done earlier this month with featured speakers Alex Weiner and Dr. James Scott.

 

Keynote Speaker: Derek Holt

DerekHoltDerek Holt is Vice President of Scotiabank Economics in Toronto. He will be speaking on “The 2013 Housing Market: What to Expect”. He is responsible for applying global economic and capital market forecasts and research while serving the dealer setting, major bank clients, and Scotiabank’s senior management.  He joined Scotiabank’s trading floor from a senior role with another Canadian bank where he handled macroeconomic, financial market, regional, fiscal, and financial industry research and forecasts. He has split his career in both bank and capital market settings. Derek is also a past chairman of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s finance and taxation committee. He is married with a young son, and holds an Honours BA in Economics, an MA in Economics, an MBA in Finance and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Carson Dunlop Condo Event: Thank You for a Great Day

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in and attended the Carson Dunlop condo event - it was a huge success. Over 350 real estate professionals from across the greater Toronto area braved downtown Toronto on a snowy Friday to join us and discuss trends and forecasts for the 2013 condominium market.
